A View Through The Window

From the humble beginnings of capturing images of surf and sun, and throughout the many journeys of our OE in my early days. The camera was a picture diary of where I’d been and what I’d seen, with only some thought put into a small number of those pics that I know deem worthy to call a photograph. These all on film and tucked away in a wooden chest that tries to entice me into craccking that lid, and having a peek back in (all in good time and many future hours of convertuing to digital).

Photography slowed down for a couple of decades with life and three awesome very active children, which by then I had moved to digital, and have many more files to go back & review.

I finally now find myself with a better understanding of the image, and what I expect the view to look like. Whether it is in the surf, on the river, in the wild, or surrounded by humans, I now take time in that moment to just pause, see and feel those moments, and hopefully capture a piece of time gone by.

I’m not this or that as a photographer, only one of many looking through a window of time.
